We work with homeowners who want more than a quick refresh. Our projects are rooted in careful planning, strong layouts, and a clear design direction before construction begins.
That order matters more than anything else we do. Most of the expensive problems in a renovation aren’t design problems. They’re decisions made too late, or made in the wrong sequence. Ceiling heights, window placement, where the cabinetry runs, how light moves through a room: all of it is cheap to change on paper and painful to change once framing is up.
We work in two phases. The first sets scope, layout and budget, and produces enough documentation that a contractor can quote something real instead of guessing. The second develops the detail: selections, drawings, renderings and specifications, every one of them checked against the budget we already agreed.
Bringing your contractor in after that first phase rather than before it is one of the more useful things you can do. They get a scope to price. You get a number you can trust. If you’re wondering whether you need an architect as well, we’ve written about that.
Renovations and additions, new construction alongside your architect and builder, and full-home furnishing. Some clients come to us with a house they’ve lived in for fifteen years. Others are three months from closing on a new build. Both work well, and the earlier we’re at the table, the more we can protect.
Good design takes longer than most people expect, and that’s usually the point. Thoughtful design takes time because the decisions underneath it are structural and expensive to unwind. I’d rather spend an extra two weeks on a floor plan than have you live for a decade with a kitchen that doesn’t quite work.
