Welcome to House of Maevie !

I have always loved interior architecture, history, and design but it wasn’t until my early 30’s that I started this career.

After completing my formal education – I hold a BA in Art History from Portland State University and a BA in Interior Design from Marylhurst University, I worked in both high-end residential interior design and commercial architecture for 7 years in Portland, Oregon.

I started my own studio House of Maevie (named after my cat Maevie) shortly after we moved from the West Coast to sunny Raleigh, North Carolina in 2021.

I particularly love helping my clients create a home they will truly enjoy spending time in for years to come. Creating balanced spaces filled with natural materials, soft lighting, vintage accents, and colorful textiles that feel layered and collected.

My priority is understanding the specific needs of each client and applying them throughout the design process. The end result is a beautiful space that is both functional and timeless.
