Our Story:
House of Maevie

Susanne Ordonez
Founder & Designer
Hi, I’m Susanne, and welcome to House of Maevie.
My path into interior design began with a love for art, architecture, and spaces that feel layered and lived in. I’m drawn to homes that tell a story, where materials age gracefully and design feels intentional rather than trendy.
After studying Art History and Interior Design, I spent several years working across high-end residential design and commercial architecture. In 2021, my family and I relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina, where I founded House of Maevie.
At House of Maevie, our work is informed by design traditions from many places.
We draw inspiration from heritage architecture, timeworn materials, and the quiet beauty of homes that have evolved over time. Every project is bespoke, shaped by our clients’ lives, stories, and how they use their homes, with a focus on livability as much as beauty.
I believe a home should feel like a sanctuary, a place to love living in and making memories. My goal is to create spaces that feel personal, layered, and enduring for years to come.
Cheers,
