WORK WITH US

Raleigh's Design-Led Renovation Studio

We specialize in renovations, additions, and new homes across Raleigh and the Triangle. Good planning counts here as much as beautiful finishes do. Our work starts long before you pick anything out, so you can make confident decisions about layout, cabinetry, and lighting. Those are the decisions you live with every day.

We take on a limited number of projects at a time. That way each home gets the planning, detail, and coordination it deserves.

WHY HOUSE OF MAEVIE

Why Clients Choose Us

01

Planning before products

We settle the hard decisions first: layout, structure, scope, and budget. That happens long before construction starts, so you’re never making a big call in a hurry.

02

Character, not trends

Homes that feel collected, personal, and rooted in the way you live, not built around what’s popular for a season.

03

Guidance through complexity

From concept through installation, we coordinate the details and the trades so you can move forward with confidence.

“Working with Susanne has been AMAZING! My husband and I are renovating a house and quickly realized we are in over our heads. Finding Susanne has been a lifesaver in helping us figure out the renovation design and finishes. A feature of her process that we especially appreciate is how collaborative and communicative Susanne is with us. Being able to rely on Susanne's expertise in carrying out our home ideas has even made the renovation process feel fun. I highly recommend working with House of Maevie.”

what we work on

Renovations, New Homes, and Complete Furnishings

our primary focus

Renovations & Additions

We design whole-home and multi-room renovations and additions across the Triangle. That runs from early space planning through construction and installation. We stay closely involved the whole time, handling creative direction, technical drawings, selections, and trade coordination. It’s how the project moves forward without surprises.

Investment. Single-space renovations start at around $40,000 for a bathroom and $70,000 for a kitchen, and scale up from there. Design fees begin at $6,000.

New Construction Homes

For new builds we join early, alongside your architect and builder. We work on layouts, finishes, and the full technical drawing set before ground breaks. The earlier we’re at the table, the more we can protect your vision and your budget.

Investment. Design fees begin at $15,000 and scale with the size and complexity of the home.

Furnishing & Interiors

Complete furnishing for full homes and individual rooms. One room gets the same standard as a whole house: layouts, custom pieces, sourcing, and styling installed end to end. Whether it’s one room or every room, we design for how you actually live. If you’re weighing pieces yourself, I’ve written about what makes furniture worth the investment, and why it pays to design the room before you buy anything.

Investment. Full-service furnishing begins around $25,000 per room, not including design fees, which begin at $4,000.

Library with built-in cabinetry, dark green millwork, and a cozy seating nook.

The questions we hear most

Frequently Asked

Many of our clients come to us unsure where to start or what things cost. Our job, before anything is designed, is to make the process feel clear.

What does an interior design project with House of Maevie cost?

Design fees begin at $3,500 and scale with the scope of your project. For full-service furnishing, budgets typically begin at $25,000 per room. Single-space renovations start at $40,000 for a bathroom and run to $150,000+ for a kitchen. Design fees there run $6,000 to $22,500. For new construction and whole-home projects, design fees begin at $15,000. We always talk investment openly on your complimentary call.

Yes. A single room is a meaningful project for us. A fully furnished living room or primary suite gets the same standard as a whole home. That means custom pieces, sourcing, and styling installed end to end, so full-service furnishing typically begins around $25,000 per room. Design fees start at $4,000. If one space is where you’d like to start, that’s a natural first project. It’s often the beginning of a longer relationship.

For new construction, bringing a designer in early is one of the best decisions you can make. Ceiling heights, window placement, traffic flow, cabinetry runs: those all happen in the first few months. They’re also the most expensive things to reverse later. We work alongside your architect and builder from early planning through punch list. We produce the technical drawing set, specify finishes, and coordinate in person through installation.

Every project moves at its own pace. A single-room renovation might take a few months from design to installation. A whole-home renovation or new build can run a year or more. After your consultation we put a detailed timeline in the proposal, so you can plan around deliveries, moves, and life.

House of Maevie is based in Fuquay-Varina and serves Raleigh and the greater Triangle. We work in person across the region: Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Durham, Chapel Hill, Wake Forest, and Holly Springs. We also offer virtual interior design for clients anywhere in the United States.
