WORK WITH US

Raleigh's Design-Led Renovation Studio

We specialize in renovations, additions, and new homes across Raleigh and the Triangle – where thoughtful planning matters as much as beautiful finishes. Our work begins long before selections are made, helping you make confident decisions about layout, cabinetry, lighting, and the details that shape daily life.

We take on a limited number of projects at a time, so each home receives the planning, detail, and coordination it deserves.

WHY HOUSE OF MAEVIE

Why clients choose us

01

Planning before products

We resolve the difficult decisions first – layout, structure, scope, and budget – so the choices that shape your home are made with clarity, long before construction begins.

02

Character, not trends

Homes that feel collected, personal, and rooted in the way you live, not built around what’s popular for a season.

03

Guidance through complexity

From concept through installation, we coordinate the details and the trades so you can move forward with confidence.

“Working with Susanne has been AMAZING! My husband and I are renovating a house and quickly realized we are in over our heads. Finding Susanne has been a lifesaver in helping us figure out the renovation design and finishes. A feature of her process that we especially appreciate is how collaborative and communicative Susanne is with us. Being able to rely on Susanne's expertise in carrying out our home ideas has even made the renovation process feel fun. I highly recommend working with House of Maevie.”

Investment. Design fees begin at $15,000 and scale with the size and complexity of the home.

The questions we hear most

Frequently Asked

Many of our clients come to us unsure where to start or what things cost. Our job – before anything is designed – is to make the process feel clear.

What does an interior design project with House of Maevie cost?

Design fees begin at $3,500 and scale with the scope of your project. For full-service furnishing, budgets typically begin at $25,000 per room. Single-space renovations start at $40,000 for a bathroom and run to $150,000+ for a kitchen, with design fees from $6,000–$22,500. For new construction and whole-home projects, design fees begin at $15,000. Investment is always discussed openly during your complimentary call.

Yes. A single room is a meaningful project for us – a fully furnished living room or primary suite, designed to the same standard as a whole home. Because that means custom pieces, sourcing, and styling installed end to end, full-service furnishing typically begins around $25,000 per room, with design fees from $4,000. If one space is where you’d like to start, it’s a natural first project – and often the beginning of a longer relationship.

For new construction, bringing a designer in early is one of the highest-leverage decisions you can make. The choices made in the first months – ceiling heights, window placement, traffic flow, cabinetry runs – are the most expensive to reverse later. We work alongside your architect and builder from early planning through punch list, producing the technical drawing set, specifying finishes, and coordinating in person through installation.

Every project moves at its own pace. A single-room renovation might take a few months from design to installation; a whole-home renovation or new build can span a year or more. After your consultation, we provide a detailed timeline in the proposal so you can plan around deliveries, moves, and life.

House of Maevie is based in Fuquay-Varina, in the Raleigh–Triangle area, and works in person throughout the region, including Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Durham, Chapel Hill, Wake Forest, and Holly Springs. We also offer virtual interior design for clients anywhere in the United States.
