Our clients wanted to transform their dark, dated primary bathroom into a serene, spa-like retreat, with easy maintenance as one of their highest priorities. We removed the enclosed corner tub and replaced the heavy brown finishes with a lighter palette designed around daily life. A curbless shower, linear drain, and forgiving fixtures make the room easier to clean, especially with the home’s hard water. Pistachio-celadon tile, white oak cabinetry, handmade Spanish floor tile laid in a custom pattern, and warm metal finishes create a restful atmosphere without making the modern design feel stark. Then, behind the water closet door, colorful tropical wallpaper adds a playful and unexpected moment. The room is quiet and restorative where it matters, with just enough personality and surprise to make it memorable.
