Interior Designer in Raleigh, North Carolina
House of Maevie is a design-led renovation studio working throughout Raleigh and the greater Triangle. We design whole-home renovations, additions, new construction, and complete furnishings for homeowners who want a space that feels collected, personal, and built around the way they actually live.
Designing in Raleigh
A capital city of neighborhoods, each with its own character
Raleigh holds a remarkable range of homes under one city line. Historic districts like Oakwood, Boylan Heights, and Hayes Barton carry early-twentieth-century craftsmanship that rewards careful renovation, while Inside-the-Beltline neighborhoods such as Five Points and Budleigh balance period homes with thoughtful additions. North and outer Raleigh bring newer construction and the chance to shape a home from the studs.
Each era asks for different thinking. In older homes the work is often about preserving what matters and quietly modernizing what does not: kitchens, baths, lighting, and finish work that respects the bones of the house. In newer homes the focus shifts to getting the selections right and bringing in the character a builder-grade interior is missing.

What We Work On
Renovations, new homes, and complete furnishings in Raleigh
Renovations & Additions
We design whole-home and multi-room renovations and additions across the Triangle, from early space planning through construction and installation. Our studio stays closely involved throughout, managing creative direction, technical drawings, selections, and trade coordination.
Investment: single-space renovations start around $40,000 for a bathroom and run to $150,000+ for a kitchen, with design fees from $6,000 to $22,500.
New Construction Homes
For new builds, we join early, alongside your architect and builder, to shape layouts, finishes, and the full technical drawing set before ground breaks. The earlier we are at the table, the more we protect your vision and your budget.
Investment: design fees begin at $15,000 and scale with the size and complexity of the home.
Furnishing & Interiors
Complete furnishing for full homes and individual rooms, each held to the same standard as a whole-home project: layouts, custom pieces, sourcing, and styling installed end to end. Whether it is one room or every room, we design for how you actually live.
Investment: full-service furnishing begins around $25,000 per room, with design fees from $4,000.

Frequently Asked
The questions we hear most
Do you work with homeowners in Raleigh?
Yes. House of Maevie is based in Fuquay-Varina and works in person throughout Raleigh and the greater Raleigh-Triangle area, including Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Durham, Chapel Hill, Wake Forest, Morrisville, and Holly Springs. We also offer virtual interior design for clients anywhere in the United States.
What does an interior design project with House of Maevie cost?
Design fees begin at $3,500 and scale with the scope of your project. For full-service furnishing, budgets typically begin at $25,000 per room. Single-space renovations start at $40,000 for a bathroom and run to $150,000+ for a kitchen, with design fees from $6,000 to $22,500. For new construction and whole-home projects, design fees begin at $15,000. Investment is always discussed openly during your complimentary call.
Do I need a designer for new construction?
For new construction, bringing a designer in early is one of the highest-leverage decisions you can make. The choices made in the first months, including ceiling heights, window placement, traffic flow, and cabinetry runs, are the most expensive to reverse later. We work alongside your architect and builder from early planning through punch list, producing the technical drawing set, specifying finishes, and coordinating in person through installation.
