Design fees at House of Maevie begin at $6,000 for a renovation and $4,000 for furnishing. A medium kitchen comes to about $9,300 to $10,800, and a kitchen with a primary bathroom to $15,800 to $18,300, split between the Exploratory and Design Completion phases. New construction and whole-home design begins at $20,000.

Every project is priced as two phases, each agreed before it begins. Exploratory settles the concept, the layout and the budget, with the 3D model and a drawing set contractors can bid from. Design Completion finishes the selections and the construction drawing set.

Do you charge a percentage of the project?
No. The fee is flat for each phase and agreed in advance, so it does not grow with what you spend on construction or furniture. Support during construction is billed by the hour, as needed.
What does the design fee cover?
The Exploratory phase covers the concept, the layout, the 3D model of your rooms and the drawing set contractors bid from. Design Completion covers the final selections, the cabinetry and lighting design, and the complete construction drawing set.
Is the consultation part of the fee?
The $500 consultation comes first and is its own engagement. Every project starts with a complimentary 20-minute call.
