How it works
Where the Numbers Come From
The studio’s price guide gives a price for every piece at three levels, from a sofa to the sheet set, updated to 2026 retail and trade prices. The calculator starts each room with the pieces it usually needs for its size, and you add or remove pieces from there.
The totals include delivery, and North Carolina sales tax on the pieces and the delivery, because that is what a finished room costs. The custom level is a starting price: one-of-a-kind pieces go up from there.

How much does it cost to furnish a bedroom?
For a medium primary bedroom, about $14,900, $33,300 or from $53,200 across the three levels, including the bed, mattress, nightstands, lighting, rug and window treatments.
What is the difference between the three levels?
Well-made retail pieces come in standard sizes and fabrics with the quickest delivery. Designer and trade pieces bring custom sizes, fabrics and drapery. The custom level covers custom upholstery, antiques and one-of-a-kind pieces, which the price guide gives as a starting point.
Is the design fee included?

How long does furniture take to arrive?
Most designer and custom pieces arrive three to five months after the design is approved, which is why we order as soon as it is. Hand-knotted rugs and pieces made overseas take the longest.
Do you furnish a single room?
Yes. A single room gets the same standard as a whole house: layouts, custom pieces, sourcing and styling, installed end to end. Full-service furnishing typically runs $25,000 to $50,000 per room.
